JPG gave you a link to a thread in this forum that contains lots of good info on maintaining and refurbishing an older machine. Post #5 in that thread contains a link to Shopsmith"s Sawdust Sessions. These sessions contain lots of good projects and ideas. Five of these sessions contain outstanding videos of maintaining and refurbishing SSs. Look at sessions 11, 21, 22, 23 and 24. They are not just ten minute shots but lengthy discussions and demonstrations.
Also, search this forum for ideas as to what cleaners, lubers, and penetrators are really helpful for getting your SS back to working order and enhancing its operation.
