When you get them cleaned up but they do not shine the way you would like, try Mothers Aluminum and Mag polish. You can find it in automotive stores and it works wonders on aluminum and stainless steel. If you use it on anything that was clearcoated it will polish the clear coat right off:eek:

Mothers is available in Canada but good old JPW (scJohnsonPasteWax) is not. I see it on their US website but not on the Canadian one. I wrote an email asking for it and have'nt got an answer yet. You have to click on "Pledge" to find it.
I also see it on Amazon.com but not on Amazon.ca,
Why ? No answer yet.
Minewax is available in Canada but ... it is not the same.
When I get answers I will post.

Probably has to do with it's being a too slick floor wax!] 'original' [/B]part!

They could relaunch it as Johnsons Original Machine Wax. :)

Here is the answer I have received :

Thank you for asking about SC Johnson® Paste Wax. I appreciate the opportunity to help.

While it's not easy to share, unfortunately Paste Wax has been discontinued in Canada. You can be certain your ongoing interest will be shared with the appropriate people.

They are sending me a coupon for a pledge floor cleaner.

I will have to import from the states ...
I will ask a few friends of mine who are down south during the winter to bring me back some.

Where can you find JPW in most cities ... Lowes, grocery stores ... ?

In which case: All I have used is denatured alcohol to clean and Johnson's Paste Wax to polish. However, I do still get some black streaking off the tables. Not so much on what I am cutting but a great deal on the bottom of my Cutoff Sled and some of my jigs.
Johnson's "Original formula" paste wax.
