The surgery went well (I guess - I slept through most of it) and the recovery seemed to be going well. I went to the doctor today, expecting to get a release to go back to the shop unrestricted. It did not work that way. He slapped another 3-5 weeks of "limited activity" on me but upped the weight restriction to 25 pounds. All that does for me is allow me to do chores around the house.

During this restricted time period, I went back to see my optometrist. She revised my prescription for corrective lenses (prescribed after the cataract surgery months and months ago) and I now have those. Suppose to make me able to see even better in the shop. Good news - she arranged for replacements lenses in my safety glasses at no charge. Can't beat that.
