Yesterday's walk included me getting my fill of black berries. Must be a record crop around here, bushes are just filled with berries. Hope to go back on Sunday and partake of a few more before they are gone.

Well away from mom, sis is in charge and I am home, up dated the stand alone SS BS, new bearing system, with cool blocks, I cant justify JB's Bearing guides, but he uses his BS much more then me I assume.
Last 2 nights I did dinner, nephew did Brandy Alexanders for dessert. He is a food Chemist 2nd in charge in the R&D department, so you know all is good that he makes/creates.

99.9% of the time I don't justify what I buy. I buy things because I want them or they are superior to what I have. By the same token I don't buy junk for anything I do or just buy to buy something I don't need. Quality cook ware, All Clad, J.A Hinkels (I am sure you can relate). Oh, and old cheap cast iron skillets/pots. Particularly Griswald from Erie PA. Lodge doesn't even come close. Even most of the unbranded ones from 75+ years ago are better than what is available today.

JB we are defently on the same page in all categories. I was not mocking or criticizing you on the BS guide bearings, just too rich for my needs, trust me, if I used it like you do I would get them. Nothing worse then trying to use a cheap product to make a silk purse. I can afford them but cant justify for my needs on a BS at this time.
No Heart Break Ridge to night, Fury, and not about a boy and his horse!

JB, my X's aunt, or grate aunt, I dont remember which, that immigrated from Russia after the war, she brought a 12" cast iron frying pan with her, and a sewing machine, I have pan and use it. We never had to buy much clothing for are 2 sons. She was a Scotch drinker, Lucky Strike smoker right up to the time she died, one hard but gentle woman.

John, I can relate. I've probably got more cast iron in the
kitchen, than the shop. (Currently at 4 Model 10's.) Most
of the inside stuff is Lodge, but I did find a REAL (I had
to go look) WagnerWare from Erie. (Funny, that Wagner-
Ware logo is the same design as ShopSmith. 2 lines, one
"W.") Got that one at Goodwill, for a couple dollars!

Down side Aunt Florie made boys stuff to about age 7, girls to about 11, we had 2 boys!!! But it took a $ off. Like Pendelton Wool shirts, you cant wear them out, except the elbows maybe.
