All I can say, I did not vote for Pres O, but I gave him a chance with his platform/promises, which in my mind did not materialize. Also to much his intervention at local Racial issues, which I thought was inappropriate for a President, he has bigger fish to worry about.
Now to are new President Elect, not my fist choice of all of the other Repubs in the primary's.
The people have spoke, so I will support him for a bit, see if he does what he promised, becomes more Presidential, lays of the Tweeter, he has a a great Congress and Senate, I just hopes he does not ailinate them so things cant get done. Listens to his VP who has much more Political savvy and experience, does not do a Carter with a good old boy cabinet.
Trump is a smart man, a bit impetuous at times, based on his pre Election behavior. I hope he puts it in check, and listen to good knowledge and experienced Politicians, Ryan, Johnson,ect.
Time will tell, so lets just stay cool, and give it time to play out.
If a nut case, then God help us. I dont think so at this point in time.

Here's my wish - I wish Michigan and New Hampshire would finish counting their votes. At present the discrepancy in popular votes is near 395,050. This number after Arizona finished their counting yesterday.

I guess it is agatemicte at this point, the E C spoke. You got your Democracies votes in CA. I dont want that for a Pres election, otherwise the major cities in the US would decide that.
I like the system the way it is.

Wife and I had a nice fish supper last night among our fellow right wing bigots and mysoginists. After the meal, we all climbed in our Trump stickered pickups with the filled gun racks in the back window, and cruised the town, in search of rioters. They must’ve all been in their safe places. The town was calm. We did see one damaged car. But, that was as a result of alcohol and a stray Javalina. So, we just went home and had some peach cobbler and ice cream.
Life in the sticks is often lacking in excitement.

What I would like to see is a law that says that all illegal aliens now in the country must move to and live in New Mexico and California to get get and maintain legal status.

It would be interesting to see how the liberals in those states deal with the situation.

Redefine all political boundaries with acreage the determining factor. Make those boundaries at the 'precinct' level(very small).

Determine the 'winner' by who gets the most votes(a tie breaker is only needed if overall results are close).

Then add up the winning precincts for each candidate.

BUT that negates the one person, one vote mantra(as does the electoral college ).

But it does give those gun rack packing pickup drivers(who go home to eat peach cobbler and ice cream)an advantage in addition to having their heads screwed on straight.

After all no one with a crooked head would dare live in a place called Snowflake!

Oh shoot! I spend an hour creating a huge post extolling the virtues of the electoral college - then didn't click on "submit". Most of the hour was correcting typing errors and spelling. Oh well! If you are interested, you can look it up.

Now back to the percentage of votes that got "over ruled" by the Electoral college. 0.000032% In other words, 3 votes per 100 thousand.

To see how the electoral college distributes popular votes, (according to the state's number in congress - (representatives and senators)), to prevent the population centers from distorting election you only have to look at a map of New York State. Here the numbers of urban voters were high enough to over rule the more rural parts of the state.

Ohio is perhaps a better example. here the total votes from the urban areas were not enough to tilt the electoral vote.
