We are headed for the woods, highs to be in the 50's though.

Unfortunately, my wife has to work on Monday. She is an Occ Therapist at the Cleveland Clinic and doesn't get the day off. So, although my family is having a get together Monday for Dinner, it is a 2 hour drive and I won't be attending. Otherwise, this weekend is going to hopefully start the build of a parade float for a young marines group. I have to turn a 16 foot dual axle trailer into this.

It is an LTV-4 Amtrac "water Buffalo". This one is going to stretch my brain a bit. The treads are what I am most worried about. Doesn't have to be functional, just look good.

Well I am Last and I win! :D

So you losers all stop posting!

Oh how about tractor tires cut the side walls off and there you have it. You could probably go to a tire repair shop and get some if you promise to bring them back if they recycle them.

Also you could use polyurethane boards for the sides. I found a place that makes commercial signs and use the poly for the inside of the signs. They get the poly on pallets banned down. And throw away the top and bottom boards as they are no god after being banned.

these boards are very strong and I have built background scenes for school plays with them in the past.

Oh and I am still Last! :p

Thanks for the thoughts on the treads. I will have to see what I come up with and what is available to me.

Hope everyone's weekend is going well.
