I just returned to the forum. I am getting back in to wood working in addition to my wood carving and stick and cane making. I would not expect to see a category for carving or stick making, However having categories for the major attachments, band saw, table saw, plainer, routers , sanding, lathe and maybe a few of the Shopsmith models would simplify the current search for subjects.

What's the point?

Us'ins do not have one just for us.

I guess I was thinking in terms of sharing resources or maybe buy/sell boards. Get togethers? I guess by state could be done as well.

I see nothing wrong with your suggestion. I would love to see the community grow (in size and interest) with the addition of Canadian neighbors.

Although there is a Heads Up - Bargan "available" topic here in the community section direct selling is not allowed here on the Shopsmith Website. Shopsmith provides us the Forum free of charge and we need to respect that selling here would be in direct competition with them.

I understand the unique problem Shopsmith Owners in Canada have buying new Shopsmith tools, parts and accessories but hopefully that will soon be corrected.

I think posting topics under the correct current sections is a better way of sharing information and asking questions. I'm not sure if there was a specific Canadian section I would look there often and that could be a missed opportunity to add my comments or learn from something posted there.
