How does the rip fence fit into this setup?

I do not see a need for one, unless ya want to cut a narrow piece off a wide workpiece. Clamp a 'board'(fence) to the top table).

You did notice the 'stop' for the top table at the center line of the sliding pivot?

Maybe that is what I am asking about. In the fourth image I see something attached to the rip fence. I am always intrigued by these setups of Mark's.

I was referring to the stop for the top table in pix 3.

I had not noticed the object clamped to the fence in pix 4, but it is called a brace in pix 7. I think the bottom table is maybe attached somehow. I do not think that screw head is for the 'brace'.

Clamps worked just fine. Not a lot of pressure on them.

Can't slip anything by you dusty!;) That is a simple brace that I made to help take any side pressure off of my band saw table.

These are for 2 prototype fixtures I am building. Could possibly be a lot more.
In the past I usually cut circles with a router and jig. The router is fast becoming my least favorite tool in the shop. Loud and messy. These circles are 24 inches in diameter. My jig would work well up to at least 60".

Love both jigs. Using the table insert to hold the pivot point for the sanding jig is pretty slick.
