yeah, I've been eyeballing this one for a while. When I first saw it price was $1650.

I just need to convince the LOML that I NEED to spend $1200 dollars on the shop.

Great deal though.

I've also been eyeballing this one for the 510 table upgrade. Since mine is a 500.

When it etches in the metal the damage signs will always be there even though you can get all the rust color out. Your "before" picture showed you got to the rust in time. Great job.
Check out MickyD's 10ER restore thread to see what is possible! ;)

'DEEP' way tube pits were actually quite shallow.

Absolutely correct. There is no way to know how bad the rust is until you see it in person. A picture means nothing. I have seen way worse that came out beautiful. The "pits" are very very shallow and do not effect operation. The picture of my finished restore does not show the way tubes as they actually are. They are perfectly smooth but have some microscopic "pits" that are discolored. Emphasis on discolored.

Okay... this one caught my eye. Was kinda funny. Last sentence goes to show what happens when your state passes legal "SUBSTANCES" use laws.

We don't know much about this Shopsmith other than it belonged to my grandfather. It hasn't been used in years. We aren't sure how old it is. From information someone provided, the 10E was the original model and was made between 1948 and 1953. This person thought based on what he saw that it was likely manufactured in the first year of production.

There is a lathe, sanders, and table saw attachment.

It sits on a nice wood bench with drawers and wheels. The base it is mounted to is 5' wide, 18" deep and the top of it is 20" from the floor. There are various tools and parts in it and all are included. You can see them in the photos. The lathe turning tools have never been used.

We know it runs, but are unsure how well it all works since we haven't used it. Price is $150 (Cash only) OBO
