I say, go for the older model, and upgrade

I installed the full upgrade (555706) on an older stand alone, less than $50. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but as far I can tell it is just like a new model now, except for the pretty paint job.

I got mine as part of a CL purchase. So it is hard to say what it cost. But I often see the older stand alones for $150 here in the Northeast.

Thanks. I am looking at a stand alone one on CL that is listed for $200. I'll keep you posted. BTW, I was just passing through Somerset this past weekend. Our family owns property near the old Noah's Ark on Route 30.

:) We stopped there often when I was a boy. But back then it was called the Ship Hotel.

Maybe you can get it for $150 if you mention to the CL seller that it will cost you $50 for the "safety" upgrades.

The listing has been deleted, but it said it was a wire wheel grinder.

Hey, it is not 'wasted'. It merely needs the way tubes replaced and raised to vertical becomes a nice roll around drill press!!!

Apparently somebody liked it, it is gone.

Wish we had captured the pix! Belay that! Al did!!!

510 & DC3300 for $250
