Once he approves the final copy, I will post an update that it is available after I post it to My Google Drive.

I spent a lot of time on this document and have added significant content not available in either of the earlier restored Owner's Guides for the 10E and 10ER that came later.

I got back today so I will start to read your effort. It hardly requires my approval but thank you for that comment. I will try to get it done before the end of the week. Your efforts are very much appreciated.
Yer supposed to be finding ALL errors! :D

I will try my best but from past experience there will not be many.

As we approach the publication of the Magna Shopsmith 10E Preliminary Manual Restoration, I have published on the main page something that without Skip Campbell’s tireless work in gathering a base serial number and configuration registry a few years ago would not have been possible.

Skip Campbell’s 10E - 10ER survey by Serial modified by Everett L Davis.PDF contains his registry, and additional information, including photographs. Yes it is word searchable.

In the upcoming restored preliminary manual, which would not have been possible without John S. Burger who preserved the only known surviving original, I have included Addendum's with material not found in it or within any of the previously restored manuals. I hope to release that next week in My Google Drive in the 10E / 10ER Folder.

Appendix C for example will cover the various changes that occurred through the years, with photo examples for the Model 10E through the 10ER.

It also has data on a model and headstock casting that I personally refer to as the Model 10.

The first 10ER I bought is listed in Skip's registry. I sent him the info on the other 4 I have but he never added them. I can send you the info if you would like to add them. Just let me know.

I don't see the one I gave my brother nor the one I have. I sent the information to him but I think he never added the data.

It would be up to you to "own" it I guess but I'm sure we could add a few more machines to the list if you wanted to.

Ed, I understand your request and respect the issue, yet I do not wish to in any way take over the data from Skip who did the heavy lifting and owns the data in my mind.

We haven't spoken about it at all and I will not take it over myself, but will help in any way I can.

I suspect some of these machines changed hands since the survey, and will continue to do so.

This could explode into a major task and flood someone with requests that could be a problem for anyone.

Reach out to Skip again and see what he wants to do

My mission in what I did was educational in nature.

When the 10E preliminary manual is released I have an expanded section on both changes and the serial number survey.

Before Skip put all the data together, we had nothing of this information.

It is finished!

With much appreciation to John S. Burger who helped proofreading the Restored Magna Shopsmith 10E Preliminary Manual.

It has been published on My Google Drive in the 10E & 10ER MAGNA folder. See Post 1 in this thread.

In the original document there were no appendices. There are extensive appendices added with content collections not available in this form anywhere previously. I would invite you to carefully examine Appendix C for example. It chronicles the changes introduced in the original machine through the 10ER.

It has taken a good bit of time, and I appreciate everyone’s patience and encouragement along the way.

It is listed as V1.01 since in addition to the material restored from V1.0, there is more, actually very much more included. Should I discover more, there may be a V1.02 etc.

I would be remiss if I did not once again thank John S. Burger for recognizing and preserving perhaps the only surviving original copy of this important document, known to exist anywhere in the world.

The existence of this rare document actually provided the inspiration to both restore it, then extend and expand it, and donate it to the World Wide Shopsmith Community. I hope you find it educational, and of value.

I uploaded MarkVII Shopsmith Cam.SKF file for those who might be considering making one.

I have no equipment to do one myself.

Someone else took the time to create this. I appologize in advance for not knowing who that person is and giving them the credit for the work as I came across it in the wild so to speak.

It would not suprise me at all to find it was James Grange Sr. as JPG has done so much for others here.

It is in the Mark VII - 1960's vintage file folder on My Google Drive. See first post in thread for link.
