The starting price is $50.00 but the item comes without the feed motor. The feed motor (514690) is available from Shopsmith (and no where else that I know of) for the meager price of $495.99.

Now I think this planer can be fed using a hand crank which would eliminate the need for a feed motor.

I picked up one very similar to this that was missing the feed motor, and I was able to convert it to manual feed for about $115, including getting the Owner Manual, knife setting gauge, safety switch key and other available parts from Shopsmith. Here was my adventure:
