It certainly does say Shopsmith but I don't ever remember seeing Shopsmith use two lines and a single S for their name. Can anyone confirm that it is this Shopsmith or not?
Look at JPeG's avatar. That is the classic ShopSmith logo.

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

My brain was not engaged when I said that. Of course it is classic SS. Every model 10 has that logo on it. :o :o :o

Now that we know how this thing was assembled, does anyone have a clue what it might have been used for? I'm drawing a blank. :confused:

JPG, yours is off the MK-VII, but that logo was around MUCH
earlier, as John said. (He must have looked at HIS Model 10
collection!) (Sorry John, just havin' some fun.)

So far, EVERY ShopSmith I've ever owned, has had that logo.

10ER for $85 but it needs a lot of work and probably some parts. Owner has dropped the price $40 over the last couple weeks so may be able to negotiate with them.
