Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

North of Houston area. Bandsaw is not pictured, but I contacted seller who confirmed bandsaw is included and sent this picture.

4 SPTs included are planer, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander. All look like in need of TLC. Maybe an extra table and carriage (possibly 500 version?) and other goodies in boxes.

Seller couldn't say what was wrong with motor ... I'm trying to pry more info out of him (or her)

Knowing how infrequently planers come up, that is what caught my eye. 12" planer Mark V mounted, with older style height adjustment handle and possibly rubber infeed roller, with separate feed motor.

UPDATE: Seller answered with this additional info: "The motor was under power but spindle was not turning, then as you move speed control it would turn but if you move it back to higher speed it would overload and stop".

So the seller sent pix of a bandsaw with a busted cover!

Re: motor - Likely narrow worn belt that got stuck in the sheave vanes and stalled motor.

Quill looks hyper-extended.

Definitely a 500 carriage and table in de box.

No sign of the jointer fence??

510 version shaper fence.

I agree there are several projects there.

This is an excellent condition Shopsmith 10ER from the early 50's that has been in the same family the entire time

No, it doesn't have a speed changer, and yes, it needs some TLC, but still, hard to beat the price. It started out at $100, so seller is obviously motivated to get it gone.

For $75, perhaps a gamble, but one I would take if I was looking for a project, or needed parts. A lot of pieces not shown, but will leave any further investigation to someone who might actually be able to get it.

Interesting that there is a 'spare' A headstock.

Also another stop plate mounted with the button on the outside of the dial.

Thought it might have sold already, as ad was deleted by author. But, then I see it has been listed again, and now price is $50. Someone please buy it before I have to ask my nephew who lives in same town to pick it up for me!
