Thinking we "can't change things" is, in my opinion, one of the reasons our country has gotten in such bad shape. It's why we've lost so much liberty. Washington runs over us and we throw up our hands and say we can't change it. So we never do.

General Fund.
And here's one absolute about the spending: 40% off the top, like almost all fed gummint spending, went to WASTE.

So take the so-called "Trust Fund", dump out 40% of it onto a bonfire, and then start counting the rest. Probably most or all of that went to some "entitlement" program or other that is essentially unconstitutional. Thanks, Democrats.

I love the part about this law requiring several thousand new IRS agents but doesn't have any money for them.

We all heard about the bill being some 2,000 pages when "Deemed" passed. That stack of new regulations that comprise OC is now over 30,000 pages, and fast growing everyday. Thousands and thousands of new regulations, regulations on regulations, lost freedoms and increased costs. And of the thousands upon thousands of people who are generating these new rules and regs, NONE are elected, and nearly same are not vetted or approved by Congress. Ex.: the Death Panels are simply created by unelected Democrat selection, with ZERO input from the citizenry.

Ah Technology. Thanks to it we have a permanent record of Hussein Obama saying clearly that his goal is exactly that. No mistake.

skou wrote:And, on this we disagree!

No, he never came right out and said, "I'm an oxycontin addict," but I heard him rail against "drug infested, hippy-dippy, FM, rock-n-roller types."

He may have not been "saying" a lie, but without a doubt, he was LIVING a lie!

And, until he was convicted, I was a dedicated "ditto-head."

So even though he was not lying he was lying. Even though he didn't say he was not dependent on the drug because of medical problems- NOT because he was enjoying it- even though he did not lie about it, he was lying. So when Clinton Lied, it was just a case of semantics, but when Rush railed against addicts, including himself, it's not irony or hypocrisy but he's lying even tho he didn't lie. Holy Molie!

This goes into my "Double Standard" file. Cross filed under "Bush lied" and "Definitions". ["Bush lied" about Iraq- again, even though he said nothing that hadn't been said by every major Democrat for years, and although noone has ever come up with ONE quote by him that was a lie, he lied. "Definitions" - "Lie", "lied", "saying a lie", "is", etc., meaning is whatever is most convenient at the moment. I.e.: he didn't lie but he lied.]
