Both appear to be from same seller. Both ads started a few days ago, and I see now they have both come down at least $100 in price, so perhaps the seller is willing to negotiate or go lower.

I picked up the Shopsmith Pro planer on Sunday afternoon. Really dull knives and it is going to need some motor mount tightening. I was lucky I found an extra knife setting gauge because it didn't come with one. I still have to clean the rest of the planer. The owner gave me a decent deal. He still has the dust collector that worked when I put a board through the planer a couple times. Looks like it would be a good deal for someone.

Bargain 'available' - 510 w/BS, StripS, DC3300, $500 (OBO)

First, congratulations to redleg for getting the planer, and thanks for letting us know. It is always good to hear that a fellow forum member is able to take advantage of a good find!

I've seen this next bargain on the San Diego Craigslist that I monitor for quite some time. The lead picture in the ad is just of the DC3300, but there is a whole lot more ... a 510, a strip sander, and a bandsaw. It could all use a good cleaning, and I recently contacted the seller to be sure it was still for sale and if everything worked. Here is the response I received "I think it functions right for the most part. I'm selling it for a friend and don't know much about it so if you wanted to check it out for yourself, he said he would take $300 for everything."

* Of course, there are issues, but may be possible to clean up or salvage for parts, especially the feed motor and controller.

I recently had to replace my ShopVac, and looked briefly for something quieter before just going back with ShopVac brand. I still monitor ads looking for a Fein, Festool or Makita model that may come up, and just happened to see this.

This looks to be a more or less complete early VII, including the blower. It's been sitting for a month at $500. The ad could expire at any time.

Glad that is in Az and not nearby. Assuming the infamous nylon parts are 'good' that is in fantastic condition. Interesting mod of the bag box access panel.
