Our favorite band was formed in 1969 and the music they create ,till this day,reflects the thunderous and ground shaking sounds they heard from the constant pounding of steel.
The SS's we use were also forged/created from this era and have stood the test of time, just as our style of music has.

[quote="JPG40504"]FWIW ALL music is noise!]
and all noise is music. (Go to a NASCAR track sometime if you like cars!) Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. (Let's be truthful, there are some UGLY babies born.) One man's stench is another man's money. (Ever talk to a guy who owns a feedlot?) One person's trash is another's treasure (just look in my cutoff bin if you don't believe that!) And, most important of all, especially in a forum; an opinion is just that, an opinion. Your opinion is yours, mine is mine. If we agree, great. If we don't, then we must respect each other regardless.
And now I give up the soapbox to the next comment....

My 'feelings' re music would have been more accurately stated by saying all music is sound, but noise was the 'subject' at hand.
Although I 'appreciate' 'classical' sounds, I be no snob and also 'appreciate' more 'earthy' genre. Like apple at cha, ozark, BLUEGRASS, jazz, even some opera(:D). Hell if I have come to like 'Rite of Spring' I can probably like just about anything(Glass excepted). Some heavy metal is on shaky ground however. Shreiking is not singing IMHO.

That brings a tear to my eye Dave.
Our Favorite band is Judas Priest (As in Judaspre1982) My avatar is from their album cover "Defenders of the Faith"
Very misunderstood band IMHO. Because of the name people think "Hide the kids" The name Judas Priest came from a song on a Bob Dylan album.

One of the bands classic song is from the folk singer Joan Baez called "Diamonds and Rust"

I enjoy some Judas Priest too. A buddy of mine and I have a little in-joke with Breaking The Law.
My interests vary greatly. Bob Dylan and Guns n' Roses are two of my all time favorites. My iPod has everything from those to to Jim Croce, The Beatles, Megadeth, Metallica, Alabama, David Allen Coe, The Allman Bros., etc.

FWIW I never intend to offend anyone at any time(poke a little fun a lot of times) and am quite thick skinned myself(I can laugh at myself quite well).
I try to stick to reality(facts)[except the poking fun episodes] and am sorry if the truth offends. Now I ain't perfect and have been known to be wrong(mis-informed:D).
