We have 3 of each HD and Lowe's. All the Lowe's have people at the check out stands. In HD, you may get a cashier as they are pressuring us to use the self check outs. I can't hear them and I don't know how to operate one, so I always look for a store where there is a live person. Like calling someone on the phones these days with the automated systems and their definitions that make you wonder which button to push. I just pound the heck out of the "0" until a person comes on.

And, I saw a good one the other day. Near the west side Lowe's and HD is a cabinet supplier. Got to go in there.

I just love it when she says I can go make sawdust. ;) :D

Just finished my other shop improvement project, a winch to assist movement SPT's.

My kids helped and it was a lot harder then I though, the winch is heavy and awkward. I am a little scared that the garage door rail is not strong enough to hold the weight. It is held into the wall studs by 5" lag bolts so I don't think it will pull out but I am not sure the rail won't bend.

Assuming it holds I am on to finishing the lathe chisel holder by added a second set of 4" deep doors that will hold another set of chisels and some of the larger ones that don't fit.
