I have an additional Greenie. The P.O. had made it into a shorty to fit into his small shop. I rebuilt it with a B headstock and other parts from here and there. I use it as a sanding station so the speeds I used were midrange. So I never ran it through the entire speed range. Until yesterday.
There was a problem(s). The dial would not enter either the high or low ranges. So I took the whole speed control setup out. And in all the tinkering I realized I had yet another speed indicator ring (or was it the same ring?) where the groove on the back had squared ends, not an end with a taper. So does anyone have a “good” speed indicater ring I can buy?
The other problem is I took out the setscrew from the speed controller so now the calibration is gone and I have to start over. I’m really looking forward to that.
Any later version should work.
Recalibrating the ring is an easy task. See 'high speed adjustment'.
Wanna trade the squared one for a tapered one?![]()
If so PM me.
