nope. last I checked the mkvii table is larger, almost the size of a 510 table.
inserts for the mk vii are the same as the 500

[quote="easterngray"]Thanks very much for all your replies. It looks to me like the holes for the pins on the new tubes are on a different side of the tube than the 500 pins. If so, I guess you could just drill proper size holes on the proper side of the new tubes for the 500 configuration, and replace the pins with new ones.. yes? Damagi, as to the older Mark VII tables]

as noted below - yup

That is what I remembered, but could not verify since I have no Mark VII parts anymore.

JPG40504 wrote:You took the words out of my mouth. AIUI the MVII table has the front rail like the M5/500 and is the same dimension front to rear. The rear clamp is lever actuated similar to a 510, but the clamp is the same(or very similar).

IF all that is correct, then it should.

Settle this Francis!:D You got the goods!!!!

As has already been said now, while the table does have the same front rail it is longer front to rear (about 3") so the fences will not interchange. The table is about the same width as a 500 but with the "L" shaped extension slid into the right side it becomes a "lot" wider.
It would be kind of cool to have a second extension table with some length cut off of the post to clear the blade when slid in close.

I wasn't on here last night when this discussion was going on. As a family project and a mother's day gift our son and his wife came down and we built a new flower bed Diana had been wanting.

Ok, so apparently there is a question of the interchangability of the trunion to the Mark V table from the Mark VII. I will take a look and see when I get the chance

AIUI the rack is on the opposite side of the post.

In theory you could make a bracket to adapt the mark VII trunion to a mark V table or the other way around. the rack is on the opposite side of the trunion from the mark V version, but you certainly could flip the trunion around since its essentially symmetrical.

So, do I see separate trunion lock handles on the 'front' and 'rear'?

Indeed are there ANY differences between front and rear of the trunion?

If not, reversing would be a workable method.

It just dawned on me... If I had a second 500 table in which the original support posts were removed, turned so the rack was on the opposite side and then re-mounted in the carriage, wouldn't that work with the double tilt kit as a dedicated under the table routing/shaping table? Thanks - Alec
