This thread is very much appreciated, Terry!

I have a friend who makes a lot of pens and he has shown me his process. For the application of CA, instead of wearing a whole glove, he tears off the end of a finger from the glove and wears just that. I wasn't sure why, but your explanation of the glue sometimes grabbing the glove explains it.

Wonderful thread sir. I really appreciate when folks dod a step by step.
For future turning and utilizing scrap, I want to make a little bin for "ready cut" pieces. What dimensions for the following: pen-bottle stopper-pizza cutter handle-ice cream scoop.
I think it would be a great idea to rough cut scraps as I go so they're ready for a rainy day.
I bought a pizza cutter set at WC on sale for $10 recently and need to do that before x-mas. My oldest daughter wants some wine stoppers as well.

To join the thread; Although many are down on PSI, Penn State Industries has a 7mm pen mandrel that fits the SS headstock 5/8" quill shaft. I am not aware of any headstock 60 degree dead center for the SS that could be used for turning between centers.
