Lots of SPTs
This is close to what I have:

5 10E'/ERs
1 Greenie
1 Brownie/Goldie
2 Mark 7s (older Mark 7s)
3 Mark 5s 510
5 Mark 5s 500

One Mark 7 and one 10ER doesnt run (they run, just not assembled lol)

I also have:

1 Shopsmith Dust Collector
1 Router table
1 Overhead Pin Router
7 Sawsmith Radial Arm Saws (1 is a parts machine)

Last week I took a road trip to get a 510 and some powerstands and there was a guy 20 mins away that had a Sawsmith RAS for $50.00. It just about killed me because I didnt have and room in the truck (I mean NO room left lol) It was 4.5 hrs from home so I wasnt going back :(

You should have tied it up on top - you would have looked like the Beverly Hillbillies on the drive home :D

For you folks that own 10-12+ SS', you must have a seriously big workshop. I'm just waiting for the wife to notice the 10E I just bought (SS#2 for me) and have her ask where the $&@# it came from...

He's FAR from being the winner.

I bought a 510 new in 1988 (after 28 years of wishing) and later I bought a regular Mark V at a farm auction.
Then several years ago I decided that I needed more and went on a buying spree on Ebay and bought 25 more, some better then others :). A few I only bought because of the SPT's etc. that were with them. Most are stored in an unused grain bin in stacks of parts.
I bought them spread out around the country east of the Mississippi making road trips to pick them up. We enjoyed the trips as mini vacations.
I actually decided at one point that you really can have too many in a shop... :D
Right now there is in the new basement shop:
My original 510
My restored brown and gold Mark V
My restored copper and gold Mark V
My Mark VII
My copper and silver mini
My 10-ER
My push-me pull-me drill press (I guess it counts as 2)
I'm flip-flopping on making another mini. Either from scratch or maybe just cut down my copper and gold one above. I might even consider cutting down the brown and gold one too. By having the double drill press 3 mini's might serve me best and save some space.
I could put about 4 more together without chasing odd parts but don't plan to at all.
Also in the shop at this moment is my big TS-3650 table saw, a smaller Craftsman table saw and a Rockwell tablesaw (and the other stuff in my sig line). The status of those last 2 saws is still being looked at. One may move to a tool trailer and one may become a dedicated box joint machine. Time will tell. Lots of options and I try to stay flexible. :)
I have a RAS still in the farm shop and I have yet to decide about it.

hdoilcan wrote:Just wondering how many shopsmiths does everyone own. Just asking because I have become addicted to buying them. My 16 yr son is now asking me if we can take another road trip to buy more lol. Right now I have 17 shopsmiths in the basement, 1 power station, 7 power stands, and one double power stand. Not sure how many SPT's. I really need to stop because I'm running out of room haha

We'll compared to some of you folks. I have a small collection. (2)Mark VII's (Original), (2)510's and (2) Mark V's. Along with the usual -Jointer, Planer, Band Saw, Belt Sander, Jigsaw, Free Standing OPR, (2) DC3300's dust collectors etc.etc. My collecting day's are over..No More room. Am in the process of arranging the shop to make the most use of what I have. Will probably only have 4 running at 1 time.

There must be something the matter with me, I only own one. Purchased new in 1982 and upgraded to 520 sometime later. Frankly it's all that would fit in my 12 x 14 shop.

I have 4. I bought a 510 in mid 90's and have since upgraded it to a 520. Then about a year ago I seem to have gone on a SS buying spree. Keep reading Craigs list and bought 3 from there. Also have two power stations, and a dedicated planer.
Just yesterday I went to the local Fed-Ex Ground facility and picked up my new PowerPro unit. Now I have to take the time to install it. Couldn't resist the free shipping that was recently offered. Also yesterday UPS delivered my $15.00 off coupon, but I have to use it within a year or it will expire. Not a problem using it, just have to remember I have it to use.
Just as a short sideline this was a pretty good week. PowerPro received, $15.00 discount card, and Thursday my first great grandchild was born. Boy, checked in at 6lbs 11.5oz. !9" long. Next week may be a little of a let down, don't know of anything scheduled.....
