Shopsmith Customer Service - the Greatest

Then again, it might not have been Jan. The criteria you describe applies to all the ladies at Shopsmith (to the gents too but I think you'd know if it had been a gent).
Thankfully, Shopsmith is still providing that sort of customer service! In times of financial crisis, service is often the first to go. Hard to recognize the value of "intangibles" at the bottom line.

Seriously Jan and all of the folks that answer Shopsmith phones deserve a big thank you and a huge pat on the back from all of us. They are pro's.

Just another nail in the FedUp coffin as far as I am concerned. Every shipment that I have received from SS through FedUp has had some kind of a problem.

At work we receive shipments each day from FedEx And UPS. In our case the FedEx order is most often received in good condition. The FedEx truck is loaded with boxes neat on the truck. UPS truck looks like a bunch of kids just tossed everything in and slammed the door shut. Boxes smashed, Product falling out the box. UPS drivers are company paid employees. Damaged boxes are not a main concern for each person who handles it. FedEx drivers own their own truck. They are personally responsible for any damage to boxes, therefore they will not accept a damaged box from anyone and so-forth up the chain.

Well that was the worst looking package I have ever received.I build and upgrade my own computers and order parts all the time off the net all of my parts come UPS and never had problem one with any package shipped UPS the same goes for the hardware store I work for all orders come and yes in good shape from UPS,maybe ShopSmith should change the company they ship with or ship the products in Kevlar wrapped Titainiam boxes:rolleyes:

I wish that they would at least offer a choice. They actually do, but Priority Mail is a lot more expensive for SS, so I hate to use it. That will just drive up the costs for all of us:( .

I have posted this before but this is the box I received my Aluminum Triangles in.

The Triangles were in good shape. It was the second time they sent them to me as the first time the corners of the Triangles were bent and the box didn't look too bad.

I remember seeing this photo before. I do not remember who the shipper was?

The shipper was FedEx, the box and packing were most of the weight since it was the Aluminum Triangles. Usually it is the heavier packages that get really torn up.
