I confess that pain sometimes clouds my thinking. I am hoping that the shoulder replacement next Wednesday will relieve that pain and allow me to make more complete and reasonable statements. I have decided to allow my bride to read my posts so I can delete inappropriate responses. If that doesn't work I likely not take part until my thinking is clearer. Perhaps I should say that my shoulder joint has deteriorated to a point where the arm is out of the socket more often than in place. Thus pain is my companion 24 hours a day. Jim

Jim, I do not believe you have stated anything that was incorrect. I have no doubt that the pain is impacting your well being but I don't believe iot has impacted your thinking.

Now the medications that you are taking for the pain may be a different story. My wife and kids all tell me that I was "in a different world" back when I was doing the medications for my knee pain.

Good luck with the surgery. We'll have you in our prayers here until we hear that you are back to normal.

Truth of situation being I am not allowed pain medication beginning last Tuesday until after surgery. Your kindness and good wishes are appreciated. Jim

I'm trying to catch up on a few of these threads I've missed the last days. I'm not sure if this was answered to everyone's satisfaction?

If not see if this makes it more muddy or clears things up a bit.

You can use the sander in two ways. First is you feed the work piece into the disk. For this the disk is used with a locked quill. The table saw or sander insert work fine like this.

The second way of operation is to fix the workpiece and sand by advancing the quill. This operation works best with a sanding insert.

You can of course buy them or make them. Either way I'd not like to have to work without the option.
