Well hallelujah, what do you know about that. Someone at Shopsmith is listening/thinking.

Now, if they would just widely advertise these things there might be a chance of their returning to those sales levels they enjoyed during "the good old days".

Thank you, woodhead, for making this known.

Now, when there is a soft spot in the budget, I can jump immediately. No longer a need to wait for the circus to come to town.

Even with the 10% military discount at Lowes, Shopsmith is still cheaper.

Not exactly

The completed headstock is $2148 (at least for me) and that is delivered to my local store. A 15% discount (10 military plus 5 lowes card) comes to $1825
Webinar price is $1790 plus $133 shipping for $1842

The kit IS more through lowes but only $12. $1645 minus 15% $1398
Versus $1286 plus $100 shipping = $1386

I would guess that SS doesn't care who sells the headstock as long as more are sold. Just my 2 cents.

Ben

PS. If you would rather the pay over time version, Lowe's has the no interest for 18 months offer going for a few more days. You lose the extra 5%, but gain a decent payback schedule with no interest if paid in full in that 18 monts.
