I will have to try your approach to eliminating movement of the work piece on the sled. I have always clamped mine to the fence. Don't know why. That is just what I have done.
I tried clamping it to the fence but due to the angle of the clamp from front to back, when tightening the clamp, it tended to cause the workpiece to raise off of the surface of the sled. I don't have a long, deep throated clamp.

More progress as shown. The cases are done. Here's one of the nightstands.

One of my favorite uses of the sanding disk is for fine-tuning the miters for a tight fit.

Now it's on to the drawers (my least favorite part).

More beautiful work and the miters are really tight! Did you do anything special with your set up to sand those miters?

Excellent progress, Bill. Very professional work. I suggest that any one of us would be proud.

Nothing special. My setup is the band saw and disc sander. I make the rough cut on the band saw and then finish it to length on the disc sander. I use an Incra V120 miter bar.

That is some impressive work! I know you are having fun and will think proudly of your furniture for years to come.

Not so much that door; glad you were in the right place when that piece went.
