OK! Problem solved! Incorrect cant was the problem.
Following Bill's pipe advice and JPG40504 directions in a previous thread, I corrected the cant and 1/8" blade tracks fine now.
  • With a straight edge laid against the upper wheel, the straight edge should clear the top of the lower wheel by about 1/4".
    If there is no clearance:
  • removing the upper wheel
  • use 18" to 24" snug pipe on the axle to bend the arm
  • my finished clearance is about 3/8"
    • does not take a lot of torque to bend the flat casting
      go slow to avoid over correcting
      does not matter how you bend the cast arm, just protect the axle
I will finish checking all the setup adjustments later. This wasn't the first setup problem I have found on my new factory adjustments
