It is harder to do with tools what a fairly famous antique tractor friend does with old tractors...
His wife said "No more old tractors... " She would allow him to buy parts for the ones he had. So my friend started buying old tractors and hauling them home in sections. After the sections had sat in the woods a while he would quietly move them to the shop (usually while she was in town) and put them back together. He had old tractors sitting in barns under old tarps so she wouldn't see the new paint. He also kept them moved around so that they were harder to count.
