Disappointed with the "Lift Assist"

So Chuck, do you see the orange well? Is it better than blue?

Orange is good for me.. better than red, but blue is also good. Sorry to be so wierd! I can see red, but for some reason it is real faded.

Thank you, Ed, for this tip. I read the thread before but did not flash back to it until now.

Loosening that upper assembly and moving it as far as it will move to the right gives me enough room to achieve the required depth of cut. Even with a 1/2" cross cut bevel sled I will have adequate depth of cut.

This allows me to finish this one up coming project without giving up the lift assist which, I discovered today when it was disconnected, I really cannot do without. Over the last couple years, that headstock, carriage and table have put on some weight.:rolleyes:

That got a chuckle out of me when I read the part about your headstock gaining weight... mine has too!!!! I love my lift assist!!!
