I got a replacement on eBay for about $20. The ad defined it as for SHOPSMITH, it cost less and has worked well.

What sent me "running" in that direction were comments regarding unreliable delivery when things are ordered from Shopsmith directly. Maybe those statements were exaggeration, but I ran into them often enough to be concerned.

I have to say that when I have ordered parts from Shopsmith they have always arrived sooner that promised. Maybe they build a fudge factor into shipping times, but I have never had to wait longer than what seemed appropriate.

I have experience the same on some sites, ordered something, gave a shipping date and got here B4 the date, more times then not, or Beeg, is it "knot", maybe the seller were measuring distance in miles and the shipper measured in knotical miles!???
UPDATE, a great SS day, cleand up all the rust on cast iron with a deruster and dark maroon 3M scotchrite pad, then went over it with 1200 grit wet and dry with kerozene, did a dry scotch pad and then the 1200 wet with kerozene on the aluminum stuff, waxed the aluminum, a coat of shellac on the cast iron, soakes into the poars and puts a nice surface layer on it. I took out 2 1" screws from some where today and cant remember where they go, it was the first thing I worked on which was the extension table and TS fence. What are the measuring marks on the fence for???? I know that EVERYTHING on a SS has a purpose, like owning BMW, which I do, and pay for it on parts since they have most locked up!!!!!!!!!!!! Never again!!!!!!!!
Table saw table is too small for me for most uses but just found a nice Dewalt/Rockler on Craigslist today, getting Thursday, cheap.
Ordering belts on Thursday from SS. Any tips on doing that I would appreciate but have the rebuild of a Greeny here so I think that covers that unless JPG knows something more.

Use belt conditioner on the belts before installing(ala Bill Mayo!);)

"Extra" screws size?

they are 1", tapered screws like a sheet metal/wood screw, round head, philips drive, they look aluminum in color. I did nothing on the power head, "said to myself when I took them out to label them" self FU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the fence a '510' version? If so, look under the clamp handle end of the fence. There may be two empty holes there.
