Great idea! It seems to be working normally now that I turned the switch on with a little authority. I'll keep this suggestion in mind if it ever gives up for good.

Get the switch suggested above, or one with similar rating(20A-125v, 1 1/2hp).

I have had this happen also, so I ordered a new one. Since then I haven't had a problem with the old switch.
