Each year we have a camp-out with Diana's siblings and their spouses in the back lot of one of her brother's place sort of near his shop. She was one of 8 kids. Each year her host brother comes up with a project/activity of some kind for the guys and his wife comes up with some craft activity for the gals.
We tend to have similar interest. Some of the guys activities (one per year) have been stuff like ax throwing, muzzle-loader target shooting, skeet shooting, making fire from scratch (No matches or lighters), making a walking stick from scratch, making a bow and arrow from scratch (with only a few simple hand-tools) and this year we did a round of golf around his 5 acre back lot. Only one was a regular golfer so he had to use left handed clubs.
Each year he would announce what that years activities were going to be about a week before the camp-out and very much of the time Diana would immediately say to me "I would rather do what you guys are going to do..."
