Yep! The casters on the storage rack swivel, so no way to 'reverse' them.

I asked to determine if they were 'reversed' to accommodate the storage cabinet.

SS Casters are that way around for no particular reason. They were that way 'round when I bought the SS, and they seem pretty convenient that way, because I can drop the SS and connect the dust collector from the back, then go around a work from the front.

The cabinet does not interfere with the SS casters. It is compatible with the SS casters either way.

Superb organization all around!

I haven't done any measurements, but I suspect that design would be easy to tweak for the lift assist and still have room for the tools you have in there. Maybe?

My quick solution is nowhere near as elegant. I had some scraps of 12" wire closet shelving, and a 6' 2x4.
I was afraid the wire shelf would interfere with the lift piston I added.
It is just as important to be lucky as good.

Now that it has been awhile does the wire shelving accumulate less dust than a solid shelf would?

Well done! That is something I could use. I'm tired of the shin banging accessory shelf, and like someone said it gets in the way of raising and lowering the castors anyway.

I get dust on the 2x2s and some on the accessories I store there but it vacuums quite easily.

Looks nice. I really like the drawers and the chisels mount, not to mention the drawer organization, very nice.

Sorry, I rotated these pics on my computer so they would appear correctly but when I attach them here they revert back to standing on end. Couldn't figure out how to correct it once attached to the message.
