If you are referring to the Sliding Table by Rick Woodbury of Apalachia Tool Works it is slick and very well made. I did find time to assemble mine but am yet to use it. Jim
Yup that is the one. I think it about as slick a thing as I have seen.

Wow, that might be the way to go. It says, It ready for the SS, right out of the box. Changeable kerf inserts. I like that.
But, I'm still waiting to see what Dusty and Nick come up with. If I understood correctly from watching this mornings sawdust session, we are supposed to see something at the next session.

Dusty,
Could you explain your fence on your photo of your cross-sled?
I do not recall seeing one like yours.
Thanks.

Bill, I would be glad to.
If you have been watching this forum for very long, you already know that I have a thing about repurposeing items that have lost value or functionality in their original life.
What you see in the photos is one of my rescue efforts.
The sliding cross cut table is a standard Shopsmith item (555535). I wanted a miter track along the fence so that I could use a stop block. I simply attached a part (515328), salvaged from an old 510 rip fence. This rip fence lost its usefulness when I upgraded to the pro-fence.
What you see in the photos are that cross cut sled with the rip fence extrusion bolted to the aluminum angle that serves as a fence on the original sled.
Using a t-nut, a block of wood, an old gear shift knob and a piece of aluminum angle, I created a sliding stop.
What you cannot see in this photo is that I have extended the length of the fence by using a similar (shorter) extrusion (518012) that was salvaged from the bandsaw fence (555645) also previously replaced by an upgrade.
I added a self adhesive flexible measuring tape in the bottom of the t-track. I don't think you can see this in any of the photos.
Whatever you may have laying around, don't discard it. You never know when you may need it.

I have to go back into the fuzzy archives of my memory to relearn what this comment was about. If you remember and it involves me, shydragon, let me know in a PM. If it was only Nick, well, I guess we missed our chance.
Did it have something to do with the auxiliary cutoff table?

That was back in April, I was brand new to the forum. I was watching that weeks Sawdust session and and the subject of your crosscut sliding table in post #1 was brought. Anyway, between the two of you, with modificatons, etc, we were supposed to see something in an upcoming Sawdust session. That is all I can remember. But right after that post, I bought the extension and it only had two holes, plus it was slightly warped. It wouldn't sit flat on the table.

If you got it from Shopsmith, I hope you gave them a chance to correct that problem. If you did not. you can make one of your own by using the warped version as a template and drill guide.
