Using it does not eliminate all the discomfort one experiences when coughing/sneezing but it still helps. Holding the pillow and coverig up when sneezing is a trick I did not master.

The doctors have told me that I can now do whatever my body will allow. But then there is SWMBO. She is not as liberal.
That is called true love. Mine is the same way and I wouldn't trade it for anything. You are very lucky. :)

I still have my heart pillow somewhere. :o I think my wife stashed it someplace.
A surgeons assistant taught me how to get out of a vehicle easier by sitting on a slick trash bag. I transferred that to getting out of my recliner easier. I kept explaining to people that it was there to help me slide out of the chair, not to waterproof the chair in case of accidents. :p It was still tough since it sat pretty low. They told Diana how to help me without hurting herself but the second day I said "this is not going to work, I can't be calling you for help all of the time". She was already taking care of the horses and helping with about a dozen client horses. She was also carrying in firewood and feeding the wood furnace. I had her get me four 6" concrete blocks and we put my recliner up on them. Then all I had to do was lean forward and stand up. I was also having trouble working the lever on the side of the chair so I got an extra plastic vacuum cleaner wand out of the closet and slipped over the too short lever and the added leverage worked very easy.
The big coil of wire that wired my sternum together really jumps out in an x-ray. :) I want to check if it will trigger my metal detector but still keep forgetting to try it. :) The metal detector is out in the truck with other sawmill stuff and by the time I walk out to the truck I have forgotten what I went there for. :D

I would only have one warning... Stay on top of any possible medication side effects, especially from statins. I was fine for a while but over time they became my worst enemy. I rarely have any side effects but can't seem to handle Lipitor etc. long term. Just this week I had to stop Zetia...
