ISIL is a wounded animal reacting badly to losing so much territory and its dreams of a caliphate. Unable to hold territory anymore, they're resorting to random acts of terrorism. They won't win. You can thank US leadership for much of ISIS's loss.

As to your complaints of recent immigrants: The same things had been said of immigrants in US for the past 150 years.

WE need to be less myopic and realize this affects the entire planet!

Actually WE have been quite fortunate compared to others.

Need any more evidence of the reason to separate church and state?

That has nothing to do with most of what ACLU gripes about.

Concentrate on the real stuff.

John, I totally understand your feelings. One of the promises was to establish good diplomatic relations with the countries of the world. But, with the stream of refugees into and through Turkey and the rest of Europe, I would prefer my family to be back in the states. I could be wrong, but I feel that if family members remain there, they are subject to kidnapping and torture by the radicals. That I would not like for anyone's family. Safety is being lost almost everywhere. I no longer feel safe going to church or the doctor. I feel even more fear going to the grocery store. These people who wish to inflict so much terror have no concern or respect for anyone else. If I could be king of the world for a day, I would round up all these misguided folks and wipe them out. But, that pipe dream is not doable. That may be terror in reverse. LOL

Did you ever notice that the news folks can film them in convoys but the military does nothing about those convoys?

Consider the difference in both source(who took the pix), who the photographer trusted to distribute it and the time differential?

Ain't nothing to do anything with by the time the pix is revealed.

Incirlik AFB in Turkey has allowed accompanied tours almost as long as I can remember. To me this is a BIG deal. Will you see this on your local news? Maybe but I doubt it will be anything but an obligatory blip. It is not an emergency but it is the DOD's response to the policies of our "leader". It is another result of Mr. Obama's failed (actually no) foreign policy.

I don't see this as a sad day for America. I see it as a sad day for the world. The world is at war whether we admit it or not. And as such countries are having a hard enough time protecting their own citizens in their own country, how much harder it is to protect your citizens in other countries especially the middle eastern region. Personally I find it hard to believe any soldier would want to take his family to that part of the world.

I find it hard to believe any soldier would want to take his/her family any where near where either they or I would be in harms way.

Perhaps folks from a different branch than I served in see it differently.

Semper Fi!
