Everett,

My 6834 looks identical to your 1414. Just the number inside the red oval.

The paint on mine is a darker blue...

Hi guys,

I don't seem to be getting email notifications of new posts (I did for a bit) so I thought this thread had petered out. I just went into the Control Panel and "Edit Notification Options".
there are two columns of checkboxes, one under EMAIL and the Other under NOTIFiCATION.

What in the wide wide world of sports is that supposed to mean??

Do you check both Email AND Notification boxes for the same desired option???

Just took a snap of the name plate on my early 1948 E.
Serial 8443

Hey Terry,

From time to time, Things just kind of "Appear". We ran a thread not too long ago about how one minute there's nothing new and suddenly, there's several new posts even though we had been checking the whole time....

Anyway, Great to hear back from you!

Mike

Hi Mike,

Well I must have done something right because I just got email notification of your last post.
I left the "email" box checked, but left the "Notification" box on the same line, unchecked.
Beats me how that works.
A box for "email" and a checkbox for "notification" . . . ??
Strange when what one is looking for is "email notification", :)

By the way, I was going to pull the quill and tighten my spring, but it seems now that everything has gotten used to its path and positioning and new lubrication, 3.5 turns is working fine so I'll leave it alone for now.

Cheers,
Terry

Good day fellow smithies, I am one of the blessed owners of a shopsmith 10er it was my mothers fathers who passed it to my dad in the early 1980's who passed it to me in the early to mid 90's the serial number on mine is E 58216 with an er on the bottom of the badge by the switch. High odds it was made in Cleveland since my grandfather lived in north central wv. I believe it should be a 1952 / 1953 unit I would love to know more

Where did this chart come from?

What do the names on the chart signify;
the current owner, the original buyer?

Was this chart compiled by SS owners on this forum over time?

Why have I not heard of this chart or seen it till now?

Where can the complete chart be found?

Just a few questions. :D

The chart was compiled by Skip Campbell from input from current owners. The names are the current owner or person who provided the info at the time the S/N was added to the list. Not necessarily the current owner today.

Skip runs the SS10ERUsers Group on Yahoo. That chart resides in the groups file section. It is a moderated group so you must ask permission to join and it may take a couple of days to get approved.
