Since Dusty took the time to do that drawing I figured I could reciprocate for you. Please excuse the crudeness of my drawing though, I'm not as cool[SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES].
The slot is .5020 deep.

My sample size of one is as follows.

Extrusion overall height is about 0.450.

The table slot depth is about 0.455.

The 0.450 is essentially the same as both Dusty's and Skizzity's.(- .005 and +.0035)

My slot depth is 0.057 less than Skizzity's.

22 post on this, I am being nice, I am presice, but to fix your problem just get a file and lower the spot in the fence opening.
For the MS, tell them the problem and let them figure it out.
Sorry just get a bit cranky, but you are all so good here being engineers for the MS.

I just had a devious thought, maybe one reason why the MS sponsors this Forum is to have you retired Engineers/Analyst to do some of there QC for them, and Field testing!!! She just listens in

Initial goal - determine the cause of the interference.

Second goal - determine a work around that will not void any warranty from the MS.

Third goal - get MS to fix it.


Sorry it took so long to nail down 1 & 2.


Even if the MS balks, we have a 'solution'.


'We' are not being 'engineers' for the MS. 'We' are defining the problem so 'they' do not need to get there own hands on the recalcitrant table.

I have a temporary fix in place allowing use of the fence and miter gauge without major modifications to the hardware. I will let the MS know first thing Tuesday morning.

Just seem like many here fix her problems. but that is because we all need are Mother.

From the initial post to the "woot!" was 17 hours. I would say that isn't too bad considering it is a holiday weekend.

Hehehe. I'm just an unemployed finish carpenter and disabled vet. I was a radio operator/maintainer when I was in so we had to troubleshoot our own stuff. The brass didn't like not having commo!
