'Glaze' is not porcelain.
Actually I should correct myself.
It is a ceramic sink. No castiron in this sink.
Its the Ikea Domsjo sink.

Hmmm... Ikea has a recall on their dressers and some kind of baby gate. Now they want you to screw their dressers through cheap particle board into dry wall. Maybe the normal consumer will be able to find a stud, maybe. What happens if that is not where you want it?

Maybe parents should discipline their kids not to clime on a dresser. I never did and never thought about it. Thanks TV adds and the internet. Oh, sorry we are not allowed to to teach our kids now days.

Sorry, rant over.

No JB, you are not ranting, it was the WAY we were brought up!!! With a little belt or back hand action when needed/appropriate for the situation. Usually once was enough.
I laid tile/stone for 20 years, remodeled bathrooms and kitchens, Porcelain, is put over cast iron for sinks, and bath tubs, cheap stuff just over stamped steel, toilets are just china porcelain, then the glaze coating is bake on them as a clear protection.
Eika is misterming/representing the product otherwise.

Correction, I have seen many bathroom vanity sinks that just appeared to be china, no metal, but and a few kitchen sinks, but most kitchen sinks where over metal.

If you read the instructions that come with the IKEA Domsjo sink, they talk about the care and feeding of your sink. No abrasives none. No clorine none, clean and dry sink after every use.

Do not let metal in sink.

Yep. I read the instructions. But a soft cloth with mild soap doesn't get out all stains. Just hoping that someone found a way to provide additional protection.

Mix up some bleach, H2O and dish soap in a spray bottle, when you dump Coffee/Tea, rinse out, mist with mix, rinse, dry, spray/wax with a Silicone product, frequently, tell Ikea there stuff is junk, just for the Millenniums!! Next time buy good SS Steel.!!!!!
