IF you are using Firefox and get that SS popup here's how to stop it:
· Open Firefox
· In the URL field, type about:config and press enter
· This will open the Firefox config window
· You might be greeted with “This might void your warranty!”
· Click on “I’ll be careful, I promise”
· Scroll down to privacy.popups.policy
· Double click on the blue line
· This will open a window
· Change the number from 1 to 2
· Close about:config

Is it possible to disable certain keyboard combinations?

Asking for some debugging help. In Firefox do you have it set to not allow coookes? (
after showing the pop-up we intend to set a cookie that would prevent showing them for a couple of months).
Firefox 48.0.2 - cookies enabled - My recollection is pop ups are few and far between(essentially non obtrusive).
P.S. Do you not use cookies to keep track of posts read etc., or is that done 'up in your memory banks'?
Folks here may want to know
what is kept in the cookie jar.
Posts-read tracking must be done on the SS server. I browse the forum by PC on occasion during the day, Android phone at lunch, and iPad in the evening. Switching between devices does not seem to affect the posts-read tracking.
That said, there does seem to be a glitch in the system somewhere. For the past few months, if the "first unread" link takes me to the very top of a page, there is a good chance that I haven't read some posts at the bottom of the previous page. I've learned to check for that.

I have popup blocker turned on and yet every time I press the back button or press Post a reply on the Shopsmith forum, I get this one.
I have the same machine I always have used, same OS, same browser, and I control when updates are installed.
Ran this for a couple of years, and Shopsmith seems all of a sudden to want to introduce me to their company every time I move with this popup.... It's even happening on my iPhone, and it takes over the whole screen, rendering it near useless when browsing Shopsmith.
I didn't change anything on either device, and Shopsmith has... period.
Not a fan

Yes, that is true. I brought it up in a thread a while back and admin said he would look into it but it still happens.
There seams to be another glitch. Say for example there are 5 unread posts in a thread. You read the first two and then log out. The next time you look at the thread the system has marked them all as read.
