Marked it with a compass, cut it out on a scroll saw, drilled a 3/8" hole, using a brad point drill, run a 3/8" bolt through the hole, chucked it up in my Delta Mini lathe, worked it down to the correct size, using a body file, cut the slit with the scroll saw. It's really neat that you can look down and see what you are doing without looking under the table.

:confused: I guess the reason it is removable is so you can remove it to change blades and not have to look under the table.

It's pretty obvious some of you guys haven't done much scroll sawing. Not that this jigsaw is a "Scroll Saw", but the principle is the same making piercing cuts.
