DC3300 - suggestions, upgrades, etc??

Correct. The cos(theta) term is called "power factor". It varys, but generally not a whole lot for induction motors of a similar size. The NEC, for example, specifies conductor sizing based on motor continuous-power rating alone. And we're just looking for a rough-but-honest way to compare woodworking-machine motors.
