Even deleted Firefox 57 and reinstalled it. Nothing works.
Try installing (temporarily) an earlier version of FireFox. Let's see if we can determine which software is causing the issue. This can also be a firewall issue or even an Antivirus product issue, but let's start with either an earlier version or another browser completely.

Are you using Win 10 and have Windows Defender installed? If so, you might try disabling Windows Defender and see if that has an effect. WD has given me no end of problems with the latest version of FireFox and disabling WD resolved those issues.

I observe far too many 'assumptions' of late that folks do not realize ARE assumptions.

The assumptions are often inaccurate for the issue at hand.
