Re: New Here & Have Questions

After determining what items were missing, I located and ordered what I could to replace the missing items. Some of the items have started arriving here and I have also located several of the parts that were missing. :) I also appreciate the suggestions on links and have determined that before I use my system, I will start with maintenance (cleaning, oiling and waxing) of the equipment since I have no idea when it was last done. I prefer to head off problems before they become expensive and/or dangerous.

I am convinced that I will have more questions, and will likely be on this website for sometime.

I appreciate everyone's help with my questions and concerns, especially the safety suggestions. Years ago (I was in my early 20's), I worked in a cabinet shop and was trimming a thin edge off a large piece of material. Not knowing about the existence of any safety guards or their use, I had my free hand pressed against my stomach to keep it away from the table saw. When the blade caught the cutoff and threw it at my stomach effectively spearing the second finger of my left hand. Although it was painful and often becomes uncomfortable before a storm, I am fully aware that hand my hand not been in that exact position, the cutoff would have been in my stomach. This instilled a desire for safety in every area of life.
Because of my personal experience, along with seeing people hurt and some injured while working in various plants with things like using power tools, and high voltages.

With all that said, thank you for your help.
