Driving Two Belt Sanders On One Headstock

When I read the OP I get a need for duplicate sanders so as to AVOID change over. To me that means two sanders running simultaneously (with no need for a carriage). As stated, the OP has the parts for a "Special Purpose Shorty" which (if built to size with no carriage) does exactly what he wants with no change over being required.

This seems to me to be more of a "production" set up than a hobby but if that is what is needed - it can be done quit simply (especially since he has the parts required).

Adding to what Dusty said
Since extending the quill would be used to engage the right side Belt Sander, the user can power only one Belt Sander when desired by retracting the quill to disengage the right Belt Sander or retract the quill and slide the headstock to the right to disengage the left Belt Sander while reengaging the right one. If the user also has a need for using a Drum Sander they can be added to the other end of the shaft of either Belt Sander or both.
