Mike,
You asked about the damage to the Belt Sander and yes it was only to the back side of the Outside Frame. When looking at the Belt Sander with a sanding belt in place you will notice that the belt sits in between the frames on the back side. The Platen on the front keeps the belt outside the frames. The video does a good job of showing setting up and adjusting the Belt Sander. Thanks to Scott for those helpful videos.
Thanks Russ, and sorry to Scott for calling him Rick.
I think the sander is getting shipped USPS, so it will likely be a while before I have it in hand. I also bought a miter gauge extension table thing. I'm not sure it will mount to my MarkVII table with the bolt on front track or not, but I just had to have it.

If it doesn't fit maybe I can modify it, or just relist it back on eBay.

If it is NOT the earlier greenie version, it WILL fit! BTW it CAN be adjusted to fit a greenie.

That's what I was hoping you would say! I think the early Greenie version was narrower.

Bummer

, the extension table doesn't actually fit my MarkVII. Looks like the bolt on aluminum table edge is a bit wider than on other models. I did try rotating the eccentric and have it maxed out. I am likely just going to try and recreate the attachment lever. It needs to be a little bit longer.

Problem solved. I made a new lever piece out of wood and it works fine. Maybe sometime I will replace it with aluminum.

The Belt Sander I showed is an extreme case of having the belt running off track for an extended period of time to cause that much wear/damage to the back of the Outside Frame. While using the Belt Sander keep an eye out for the belt wandering to the sides and readjust the tracking as needed. It's not a common problem on a properly adjusted Belt Sander just something to watch for.
Russ, I received the belt sander and I think I lucked out pretty good. Very little wear, see pics. Thanks to Scott for the instruction videos, I disassembled it, completely cleaned and lubricated it, put it all back together and it works great. It even tracks straight.
Thanks again, Mike -

Glad to hear all is good with the Belt Sander. It appears it was well taken care of.

Fear not! You have a "greenie" version. I will try to get dimensions posted.

Yes, here it is installed on the MarkVII, no alignment issues, and seems to be working great. Thanks for all great info.

Thanks JPG, I would appreciate the dimensions. As I mentioned, I created a new attachment lever using wood, and it does work, but I have some aluminum that is the correct thickness on hand and would prefer to reproduce it properly using the right dimensions. I will wait for your info. Thanks JPG.
