Emerson - like the Emerson Motor in my Mark V, Power Station, Crafters Station and Belt Sander (Power Stand)?

Is this still another "Made in the USA" product that is/has gone across the pond?

Emerson has been a very respected name in electric motors. When I worked on Otis Elevator Controls for United Technologies Corp. many of our large (huge) motors were Emerson. Even earlier, when I was in the Air Force the motors in many of the generator rooms at our remote radar facilities were Emerson.

Yes that is the same Emerson. And yes they still make USA motors but I also think they have plants in Mexico and South America. And like nearly everything else their quality is slipping.

I use A. O. Smith, Emerson and GE motors for my pool pump. The pool place didn't have A. O. Smith motor so I used a Emerson. Big big mistake!!! Pool place even admitted it was a huge mistake and recommended a GE replacement. That motor from sound alone is better than any I have had.

For what it worth!
