Actually the show was a week earlier. I saw the Dubby demo but didn't stop. I had talked to Jerry about 4 or 5 years ago about the dubby and was quite impressed, at that time they were making Dubbys for SS. I know Jerry business is an almost one man show so I would suspect either Jerry hasn't been asked about SS lately or one of his relatives which I think get pressed into service didn't keep the website updated.dusty wrote:These guys are going to be at a woodworking show Apr 27-29 being presented at the Seattle/Tacoma Puyallup Fairgrounds. Maybe you can drop in on them and do some investigative reporting, Tim.
No, there is no commission involved and I am not contemplating buying one. Just incredibly curious.
Ed in Tampa may beat you to it though. I see they were just at a show in Tampa (March 23-25).
Jerry implied that SS orders were rare on the Dubby. I talked to Jerry about how he insured the blade to Dubby was always the same set up and he suggested a wood block that was partially cut so you could slip it over the blade and move the table to exact spot the dubby was at the last time.
A replacable cut strip seems like a better plan, therefore I think the Appalachian seems better suited to the SS since it has a replacable cut slot piece.
