Tomorrow is headstock teardown day I have to see what lurks under the steel skin to see how much needs to be done with my new toy. I found a guy one state away who advertises that he will make any part you need for your stuff. He for many years had problems with various machines he needed parts for and with machining costs being so high for one off stuff he started his own business doing just that. So i emailed him with my situation and the Mark VII problem cam and plastic rack issues. He said he would love to see the parts and help me out so I will be disassembling and taking pictures for him to look at to see if he can make new parts out of better material than plastic junk. We will see????

If he can fabricate the cam at a reasonable cost, there are possibilities!

I sent him the pics of the part but I think he will have to have it in his hands to really see if he can do anything with it. Time will tell.
