This is the one I bought... I hope this is fine. I have not used it yet.. still waiting on the manual. It seemed good, but I can switch it for the basic 3 in 1 if its a problem.

SAE 10 is what SS recommends. 20W is a little 'thick' and more suitable for worn bearings or larger motors.

I owe you an apology. When this question was raised I was away from my office and could not find the correct number for the Turbine Oil from Shopsmith.

Here is what you really want item number from Shopsmith 522053. In March of this year I paid $3.04 for them on special they are listed at this lionk for $3.80. Not only is the oil suburb. The container has a really long pull out spout which is extra handy.

I know it is not the one from shopsmith.. but JPG did mention 3 in 1 as a viable option.. I am itching to start using this thing.. but I can't until I service it. Also, the person I bought it from is jerking me around about getting the manual from him, which is also preventing me from using it. Fun.

Use it for now, get a non-stinky turbine oil when you can. You can always use the 3-1 oil for general purpose.
